National Charter Schools Week 2021
30 under 30 Awards | Nominate a Changemaker
This year marks 30 years since the first charter school law was passed, changing the future of public education. During National Charter Schools Week, we want to recognize the next generation of changemakers in the charter school sector. While our nation has been confronted with many challenges over the past three decades, and especially within the last year, these individuals are a symbol of hope for us all, and we want to give them the recognition they deserve.
We want to make sure we're honoring the best of the next generation, so please nominate a young leader for 30 Under 30. it could be a teacher, school founder, advocate, or parent volunteer. Do you know a student who is leading on LGBTQ issues at your school? Maybe a teacher who is confronting social justice issues head on or a funder who has shown support for our sector? Or, maybe an alum who is doing more than their share to protect our planet? We want to hear about them!
These individuals must:
- be 29 years old or younger
- be affiliated with a charter school in some way (i.e.: employee, alum, student, parent, elected representative, etc.)
- have made a proven significant impact in their community
The National Alliance will recognize 30 people and highlight their dedication and commitment to serving others. We will contact the nominating individual before contacting the nominee if they are selected.
If you have questions about the nomination process, please contact Brittnee Exum at brittnee@publiccharters.org.
The nomination period has ended. We will announce the awardees during National Charter Schools Week, May 9-15, 2021.
